I taught business here, at AEC, in 2011 and then transferred to Monelison Middle School where I taught Technology and Career classes for grades 6th-8th before coming back to AEC in 2017 as the School Counselor. I am so happy to be back at Amherst Education Center.
All Professional School Counselors are trained specifically to address three main areas with students in the school setting. These include helping students with 1) Academics, 2) College and Career goals, and 3) Personal and Social needs.
In addition to these main categories, a lot of my focus this year will include working with students on attendance and taking regular steps toward graduation and their future plans. Please read over the attached attendance letter and share it with your student. Let us know how we can best support you and your children so that they can show up for school on time every day.
