The rise of extreme nationalism, the Great Depression, and the yearning for more power leads to the rise of dictators throughout the world. Hitler, Mussolini, and Tojo form an alliance to invade other countries and kill anyone in their way. Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin form an alliance to combat the evils tearing through Europe and the Pacific. Atomic power is put to the ultimate test as the ultimate weapon of war.

Cold War

After World War II, strained relations between the democratic United States and the communist Soviet Union causes the "Cold War." Many events will pit one against the other, democracy vs. communism, over and over. These events include the Korean and Vietnam Wars, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the rise and fall of the Berlin Wall. Eventually, communism will fall in most countries.
